We specialise in Career Decision Coaching

We have one form of coaching we do – Career Decision Coaching (CDC). We call it our HEDGEHOG concept.

At BDH Careers, CDC is what we are truly passionate about, it’s something we are really very good at. In fact, we do CDC well enough that we don’t do anything else. We specialise.

We know who our ideal client is, why they are the focus of our attention, what it is we will do for them and how we will best achieve their goals together.

We enjoy the focus of CDC, and find it is a meaningful way to contribute to a better world.

Through the career coaching we are able to help people ground and focus their energy into the right career decision – a rewarding result.

Our Strategy

Unlike therapy, we don’t discuss our client’s problems at all. The point of a Career Decision Coaching session is to help our clients find work that makes them happy.
  • We are focused on a positive, energised and meaningful outcome. The CDC session is longer than typical Career Counselling, it has a different pace, there are a clear series of steps to go through.
  • The CDC process is different than therapy or counselling – there is no direct focus on feelings, and we have a specific and measurable goal for the session.
  • Rather than the more open-ended process of therapy or counselling, the CDC session is completely structured. This makes it less demanding than a normal session – we simply step our clients through the framework.
The process is effective because a relationship is built up over the course of the session, and that provides the solid ground for your career choice: self-knowledge. There are many great books on finding the right career direction, but people need this relational setting to actually make a solid decision.
